Director’s Corner
Greetings dear friends of Place of Hope.
September has arrived and along with fall activities like starting back to school, visiting the pumpkin patch, and of course good old Friday night football ….is our Baby Bottle Campaign for 2026.
In previous years our Baby Bottle Campaign was in the spring between Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. For planning and executing our campaign efficiently the decision was made to move the dates to September. Our kick off for the campaign was implemented with a Saturday Brunch on August 15 with approximately 25 representatives in attendance and 310 bottles were distributed. As of this writing an additional 350 bottles have been delivered to area churches. If any group or church congregation is interested in participating in this campaign you may call Place of Hope at 512-446-2220, Monday through Thursday from 10:00 – 4:00.
We are happy to announce that Place of Hope will have extended hours on Thursday until 6:00 pm. This will allow working moms and students an opportunity to visit us in person for lessons, visiting the Baby Boutique and Mommy Store.
Lots of excitement brewing as we begin major projects here on our building. New flooring will be installed in our kitchen and meeting area downstairs. Also new carpet in the Upper Room which is a meeting place on the second floor. This room will accommodate up to 60 people for birthday parties, worship gatherings, baby showers or any other type of group function. If you are interested in hosting a gathering and need a meeting place you may call for information.
Our God provides in such a mighty way. I’m happy to report all volunteer slots are filled for each shift Monday through Thursday. One need still open is childcare for our monthly class which is from 11:30 – 1:00 and typically on Wednesday or Thursday. If you and maybe friends are interested give us a call

Baby Bottle Campaign
Our Baby Bottle Campaign began on September 1 and will end on September 30. Please return your bottles to Place of Hope during the first week of October. If you are unable to return them during that time please give us a call at 512-446-2220 and we will be happy to schedule a time to pick them up. To date the response we have received from our campaign has been so encouraging and uplifting for us. Praise God from whom all blessing flow.
Donations Needed
Place of Hope provides resources to our moms from pregnancy until their child reaches age four. We are always in need of larger diaper size 6, diaper wipes and shampoo/body wash. To date we are fine with our collection of fall and winter clothing. Thank you for your generosity in helping us meet the needs of our mom and their babies.
